On October 6, 2011 the "President's Own" U.S. Marine Band will perform in the Grand Strand for the first time since 2006. 

“The President’s Own” United States Marine Band was founded in 1798 and is this country's oldest continuously active professional musical organization.  The term "President's Own" applies to the United States Marine Band, Marine Chamber Orchestra, and Marine Chamber Ensembles, all of which perform regularly at the White House. 

The show will be at the Myrtle Beach High school and start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available upon request from the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce.  There is a limit of 4 per request.  For complete details about obtaining tickets, click here  There is no reserved seating and they are distributed on a first come, first served basis, so don't delay.  The rich sounds and upbeat tempos are going to be patriotically fantastic and tickets are sure to go fast!
