King Street is turning into the place everyone wants to be on the Second Sunday of every month, but even more so in December as all the holiday windows are up, Marion Square is festively lit and all of King Street turns into the region's holiday hub.
There's even a rumor that a very special flash mob is in the planning for this month's installment on Sunday, December 12. Stay tuned!
Experience the magic of our renowned Farmers Market as the vendors and artisans make a special Sunday appearance. Joined by Santa from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The Charleston Ballet Theatre's Nutcracker is at the Gaillard at 3 p.m. The Threshold Repertory Theatre presents Every Christmas Story Every Told (and then some!) at The Meminger at 2:30. The Charleston Men’s Chorus presents Christmas at the Sottile at 2.
The Preservation Society's Book Signing Series moved to Second Sunday this year. The event features a group of distinguished local authors whose works encompass a wide variety of topics related to Charleston. Mercury editor Charles Waring will be there to sign copies of the newly released third edition of "The Way It Was in Charleston" by Laura Witte Waring, for which he wrote the preface.
