New Deuce Theatre bringing "The Emperor is Naked?" to town

There's a new theater company in town and their first performance, a "zany political satire" based of Hans Christian Anderson's The Emperor is Naked?, starts Friday, October 24.

The Decue Theater talks about itself:
An experimental theatre company that had its start in New Jersey and is about to emerge in the vibrant Charleston area arts scene.

Deuce has an actor-centric style of performance, free from the shadow of big sets, costumes and lights. We area a theatre unafraid to take chance, connect with the audience and tackle issues.

The Emperor is Naked? plays October 24-26, 31, and November 1-2 at the North Charleston Cultural and Civic Complex (map). Buy tickets online, $12 students, $15 advance, $18 day of.

Thanks to Charleston City Paper for tipping us off.
