"We look forward to celebrating and meeting our neighbors with the grand opening of Bottles," said George McLaughlin, Managing Partner. "My partners and I are residents of the Mount Pleasant area and know that convenience, quality and price are an important part when making purchasing decisions. Bottles fills the niche East Cooper was missing."

Bottles is located at 610 Coleman Boulevard in the Moultrie Plaza shopping center in Mount Pleasant, near Shem Creek.

Update November 8: Bottles, the new beers/wine/liquor superstore has officially opened for business, and photographer Chrys Rynearson stopped in and snagged some great shots of the space.

Included in his photo set are some very nice fisheye shots of the stocked shelves, the growler stations as well as General Mangaer Brent Beam and Assistant General Manager Jason Selby.

First reporting: Bottles, a wine, beer and spirits superstore is opening up in Mount Pleasant's Moultrie Plaza shopping center on October 24th.

Started by George McLaughlin, Mike van Beyrer and Scott Peace, all residents of Charleston, Bottles is truly a local business. The three partners, each with different food and beverage backgrounds, came together with the idea of creating a new business within their own community.

“The idea for Bottles evolved from what we ourselves were looking for,” says Managing Partner George McLaughlin. “We want Bottles to cover a wide spectrum, both discount prices and quality products. Quality is important. We don’t want to be known as a warehouse of piled up boxes; instead bring our customers brands that larger discount competitors don’t offer.”

Bottles will offer an array of affordable, highly-rated wines; a unique assortment of domestic, imported and craft beers, and a superior spirits selection in one convenient, comfortable space.

Bottles will also feature a full walk-in humidor. Hand-rolled cigars by Cigar Row will give Bottles the largest cigar selection on this side of the IOP connector. Guests to Bottles can choose from 80+ brands of cigars and enjoy cigar rolling demos in-store throughout the year.

At the heart of the store is a growler station and tasting bar where customers can sample beers, featured wines and mingle with the friendly, knowledgeable Bottles team. Part of the Bottles experience is to educate their customers on their products. According to McLaughlin, “Mike has put together probably one of the most unique wine portfolios in the Southeast.” Mike van Beyrer, Partner and Bottles resident wine enthusiast, will incorporate these unique wines to be a part of the weekly tasting programs available in-store.

From wine, beer, spirits to cigars, Bottles is a relaxed, fun and interactive experience. Bottles. Open Up. Visit them soon at 610 Coleman Boulevard.
