Update August 8: It's been a long time coming, but it looks like we only have to wait another couple of months to welcome P.F. Chang's to Mount Pleasant.

If you're driven past Mount Pleasant Towne Centre lately, you may have noticed that the chain's signature decorative horses have already arrived: one along Highway 17 and one facing the center's parking area.

The official grand opening will occur on Oct. 3rd, so mark your calendar!

Update January 12: The Post and Courier has just put out the good word that it is official: P.F. Chang’s China Bistro is coming to Mount Pleasant's Towne Centre.

The deal has been finalized and the restaurant should be opening in late summer or early fall. 

Update November 1: Well, the rumors were true.

According to The Post and Courier, P.F. Chang's  has filed for a permit permit from the state Department of Health and Environmental Control to open at 1885 U.S. Highway 17, the site of the old Chili's in front of Mount Pleasant Towne Centre.
