Tickets are on sale for the Charleston Regional Business Journal's July 30 Power Breakfast Series, which will feature a panel of speakers offering a midyear forecast about the state and national economies.
The event will be held on Thursday, July 30, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Trident Technical Collegeās Complex for Economic Development, at the corner of Rivers Avenue and Mabelene Road in North Charleston.
Speakers include:
- Doug Woodward, director of Division of Research and professor of economics at the University of South Carolina Moore School of Business.
- Donald Schunk, a research economist with the Coastal Federal Center for Economic and Community Development at Coastal Carolina University.
- S.C. State Treasurer Converse Chellis, who was first elected to the General Assembly in 1996 and served as representative from District 94 for 11 years. In January, Chellis introduced a fiscal reform plan for S.C. state government.
