Every year the folks at Evolution Art get together and produce a week long alternative to Spoleto event, but this year it's jam packed into one evening of mayhem, mystery and fire at the Sinister Circus.

The lineup for the evening includes an hour of burlesque performances (one involving a horror/sacrificial routine and one involving a mime), the metal/psychobilly band The Sawyer Family, high energy surf band The Baboon Brigade, a play by Chaotic Taoist Theatre, hula hopping with fire, a carnie/horror themed art show, live art, costume contest, body painting, art raffle, photo booth and vendors galore.

Whew.

The Sinister Circus is taking place on June 2nd from 7 p.m. to midnight at The Oasis, located at 778 Folly Road. It'll be $8 to get in the door if you're wearing a costume or $10 if you're lame and show up without one.
