Charleston's jazz scene featured on 'The Big Picture' (video, more love)

Update April 21: ETV's episode of "The Big Picture" featuring the history, scene and current players involved in Charleston's jazz movement was recently highlighted by NPR blogger Patrick Jarenwattananon.

The 20-minute documentary segment and 53-minute radio feature on Charleston jazz not only impressed Jarenwattananon, but has him quoted as saying, "Looks like I'm going to have to visit South Carolina soon."

First reporting: Be sure you tune in to SC ETV's 'The Big Picture' tonight at 7:30 p.m. for the premiere of a very special episode highlighting the Charleston Jazz Orchestra and the Jazz Artists of Charleston.

The jazz scene has recently seen a resurgence of popularity in Charleston, and it’s giving South Carolinians an alternative option to the arts. The Big Picture takes you behind the scenes of the exciting and energetic Charleston Jazz Orchestra.
