Jazz series coming to Mistral and Charleston Music Hall

Jazz Artists of Charleston will present its 2009 JAC Jazz Series from May 22 until June 5 at Mistral Restaurant and the Charleston Music Hall, during the Spoleto season.

Thirteen ensembles will perform at Mistral for two shows each night, 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., upstairs in the popular French bistro. In addition, on June 2 at 7 p.m., the Charleston Jazz Orchestra will perform a repertoire of songs specially arranged by Bob Belden, a Goose Creek native and Grammy-winning performer, composer and arranger at the Charleston Music Hall.
