The Charleston Jazz Orchestra, Charleston’s own resident big band continues its second season with Latin Night on Saturday September 25th, at 7 p.m. at the band’s House of Swing, the Charleston Music Hall.

CJO conductor and artistic director, Charlton Singleton has approached Latin Night with much anticipation. The energetic, intricate structure of Latin music is a great field from which to launch creative expression. With that in mind, he will have back from last year's Latin Night David Heywood, a big hit, on flute and percussion, as well as vocalists Leah Suárez and Duda Lucena.

Other special guests include percussionist Gino Castillo and vocalist, guitarist Cristobal Cisneros. Local flute sensation, Regina Holcher Host, will perform a suite for flute and big band. The centerpiece of the evening will be the second set, all of which will be devoted to Emmy and Grammy winning pianist/composer/arranger Fernando Rivas, the face of Afro-Cuban and Latin jazz music in the Lowcountry.

Adult admission is $30 in advance and $40 day of show. Senior tickets available $25 in advance, $35 day of show. Student tickets available, $20 in advance, $30 day of show with valid student ID.
