The fifth installment of JailBreak, a local arts and music festival held at the Old City Jail, is set for Saturday, April 27 from 4 – 11 p.m.
Jailbreak has much more than just art and live music. This time around, the event will feature musicians, dancers, comedians, sculptors and fashion designers performing and showcasing their art.
JailBreak 5 will spread throughout the jailhouse, courtyard and city block. The jailhouse will be lined with masterpieces by new and veteran artists, comedians and a variety of dance performances. Outside the jailhouse, in the courtyard, the Charleston Dance Alliance delivers spellbinding performances while artisans demonstrate their work in the redefined Artisans’ Market. Also outside local talent will take the stage for hypnotizing performances. Artists and vendors will be selling their work and there will be food from local food trucks and craft beer available for sale.
