#MYRBeer: Brewing at the Beach at New South Brewing (update: video)

Update November 12, 2011: We collaborated with local photojournalist Randall Hill to cover today's event.

We couldn't be happier with the results. The video is embedded on this page (above) or you can view the video on Vimeo. If you'd like TheDigitel Myrtle Beach to produce more videos and coverage like this, be sure to share this with your friends.

First Report: Do you like beer? Want to know more about how it's made and how to make your own brews? Then the inaugural Brewing at the Beach event this Saturday, November 12th from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at New South Brewing is definitely where you should plan to be.

Brewing at the Beach will feature homebrewing demonstrations, homebrewed beer tastings and information for those looking to get into the hobby or sharpen their skills. New South Brewing will be brewing on their pilot system, giving tours of their brewery and selling growlers of their beers. The restaurant and bar, For What It’s Worth, will be on location selling barbecue plates. There is no charge for admission to the event.

“There’s a growing population of homebrewers in the Myrtle Beach area and even more who are interested in getting into the hobby. Brewing at the Beach will bring together people of all experience levels to celebrate this great hobby, meet other like-minded beer lovers and learn some new techniques,” said John Garner of Myrtle Beach Area Society of Homebrewers.
