The opening reception of Natural Order, by artist Lara Neece, will take place at The Real Estate Studio on February 1 from 5 p.m.–9 p.m.

The exhibit, which went up January 24 and will run through February 26, features mixed media works on wood of plants, animals, and ecosystems in the coastal southeast. 

Neece has lived on a sailboat for three years and has been inspired by her natural environment. She pulls inspiration from the wind, tides, weather, and her impact on the plants and animals with whom she shares these environments.

Her artwork is a collection of imagery drawn from ecosystems that she has come in contact with daily or during her travels. The imagery is combined into designs examining the complexity and diversity of surrounding eco-systems. She draws, prints and paints nature-inspired, line-driven imagery onto wood, paper, and fabric.
