Update October 14: The Coliseum crew has issued the following parking advisory to their e-mail list & via Twitter:

Capacity crowds are expected both nights. Concert attendees are strongly encouraged to carpool and arrive early. Parking lots will open daily at 2:00 PM. Doors to the Coliseum open at 6:30 PM for the 7:30 PM shows.

Starting at 4:00 PM (Friday and Saturday), free parking and shuttles will be available at the North Charleston Fire Museum and Tanger Outlet Mall parking lots. 

As of this morning, tickets for Friday are still available via Ticketmaster.  Also George Duke's show at the adjacent PAC on Friday has been cancelled.

In summary, people heading to Banana Republic are going to have a very interesting weekend.

Update September 9: Don't forget, tickets for the Phish shows on October 15th and 16th go on sale to the general public tomorrow at 10 a.m.

Update August 24, 2:09 p.m.: Well, looks like the rumors were true! Phish officially announced their 2010 Fall Tour dates this afternoon and they'll be playing the Coliseum October 15th and 16th.

Ticket requests are now available on the band's official website. You can request up for 4 for either show, but the request period will end on September 3rd at 11:59 a.m. so act fast.

I'd been hearing rumors from my Phish phan friends for a while now that Trey, Mike, Jon and Page would be playing in Charleston come October, and by golly, the rumors are shaping up to be true.

Although the band hasn't officially announced their fall tour dates, according to livemusicblog.com and some other Phish message boards, the ultimate jam band will be performing at the North Charleston Coliseum on October 15th and 16th.

The official word on the fall tour dates is expected to come within the next few days, so hold on tight.
