The Maker’s Market at Mixson returns this Sunday, July 1, and will feature a collection of Lowcountry-inspired offerings including food trucks, local brews, live music and wares produced by local artisans.

Located at 4400 Marblehead Lane, the Maker’s Market at Mixson is open from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month.

"The Maker’s Market at Mixson continues to delight visitors during its 2012 season," said Michael Phillips, chief operating officer of Jamestown. "The Market is a great place to meet friends, shop and celebrate summer. Through events such as the Maker’s Market at Mixson, we are able to support the local community and all the wonderful talents it has to offer.”

At July’s Market, stock up for the July 4th holiday with retro coasters by Melissa McCabe, and treat your dog to gourmet goodies from the Lucky Puppy Truck. Complement Mexican treats from the Taco Boy food truck with sweets from the Cookie Chick, all while enjoying the sounds of Wire and Wood.

As always, the monthly market offers a wide assortment of locally produced items including food, art, stationery, clothing, home goods and jewelry.

An added bonus to this months' Maker's Market is Makelab Charleston. Makelab presents an opportunity for people with common interests – usually in technology, computers, science, or digital/electronic art – to meet, share, and collaborate. They provide the tools and resources and the community provides the knowledge and desire to build and make.
