Last March, Monster Music organized and conducted the first record convention seen in Charleston in over 15 years – the Charleston Record Expo. Turnout for the March Record Expo was so dramatic, that record sellers all over the nation took notice. Monster has been bombarded ever since with inquiries for our next event.

So, on Saturday, September 24th, Monster Music & Movies will again be bringing new and old vinyl fans together for the Charleston Record Expo. Vendors from all over the Eastern US, from Florida to Michigan, will be setting up tables and selling LP’s and 45’s from all musical genres. Others will have CDs, DVDs, music memorabilia, imports and rarities, and all sorts of collectables. There will be dollar records, hundred-dollar records, and everything in between.

This event is free and open to the public. The Expo will start at 10 a.m. and run until 5 p.m. and will be held at West Ashley Shoppes, located at 946 Orleans Road, unit F-1, next to World Market. Come hungry too, because Hello My Name is BBQ will be on site selling their fabulous barbecue sandwiches and platters.

Update September 16: The organizer's have updated with a few more fesitvities:

We're going to have live music immediately following the event with Joel Hamilton, the Explorer's Club, Shaniqua Brown, and Subterranean Blue Minds. Times will be announced shortly.

Hello My Name is BBQ will be staying here into the evening, so we're going to have a full day's worth of fun and excitement.

WCOO the Bridge and WYBB 98 Rock have contributed a very nice Denon turntable for us to give away. Folks can register to win during the Expo and we'll award it at 6:00 pm.

All used CDs and DVDs will be on sale in the store all day long – 20% off.
