"Green" tie fundraising event kicks off Green Fair

Update September 29: The Charleston City Paper has posted a handful of photos from the night's event. Go look at them.

Original post: Be green, spend some green and have a good time all while promoting the Green Fair and the Green Initiative in Charleston. Do it tonight, September 25th, at 7 p.m. at the South Carolina Aquarium.

Charleston Green Fair talks a bit about the night:
We will highlight local fine dining restaurants such as Hanks Seafood, The Library at Vendue, McCradys and more, all who are using sustainable food practices in their menus. Beer, wine and specialty cocktails will also be included. We will also enjoy a presentation by well known Lowcountry Visionary and Urban Developer, Vince Graham; who will be discussing Urbanism Past and Present. In addition, we will hear from Georgia Malki, President of nationally recognized Seven Star Events. There will be also be musical entertainment throughout the evening.

The only downside? Tickets are $50.

The event is also raising money for Lowcountry Earth Force and The South Carolina Aquarium's Sustainable Seafood Initiative.
