Mellow Mushroom in Mount Pleasant is hosting their inaugural "backyard bash" on Saturday, May 2, to benefit the Mikel Foundation, a nonprofit that helps kids with genetic disorders.

The parking lot of the restaurant will be turned into a children's playground with monster slides and a jump castle. Adults have their own party area equipped with a beer truck and sweet tea vodka.

Saturday, May 2, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at 3110 Highway 17 North in Mount Pleasant.
