Third Annual Water Ball celebrates the public's right to clean water

In this town, there is no resource more coveted than our waterways.

The Third Annual Water Ball will help celebrate our right to clean water and the wealth of local waterways. Scheduled for Thursday, April 5th, local non-profit organization, Charleston Waterkeeper, will host the gala in order to create a platform to raise awareness as well as crucial organizational funding. More than 400 local residents are expected to attend the annual event held at the South Carolina Aquarium from 7 - 11 p.m.

This year’s event will feature champagne and oysters on the Charleston Harbor, as well as hors-d’oeuvres, wine, New Belgium beer and a Water Ball specialty cocktail provided by Icebox Innovative Beverage Services. Musical entertainment will range from classical early on in the evening and end with a DJ in the Great Ocean Room. Tickets are available to purchase online prior to the event date for $60 each or the day of the event for $75. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.thewaterball.org.

Highlighting important organizational issues as well as the efforts of Charleston Waterkeeper to better the quality of local waterways, the Water Ball serves as a platform for the organization to show the public its work within the community to protect water resources, as well as allows for an opportunity to educate the public about crucial water issues currently facing the Lowcountry. Other event highlights will include a timeline of the organization’s efforts and achievements, educational components as well as the third installment of the interactive water machine, demonstrating the night’s fundraising impact on the organization’s overall efforts to protect and advocate for local water resources.
