This just in from the Charleston Moves newsletter:

Palmetto Brewing Company and the Charleston Coffee Roasters invite you to their Inaugural Costume Throwdown of Chucktown Open House. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. Help alleviate potential traffic and parking issues - and feel good about it - by BIKING to the event!

Tickets will be sold at the door for $10, which also provides you with a Palmetto pint glass to keep, 4 beer samples, as well as guided tours of South Carolina's oldest brewery and the Charleston Coffee Roasters. You can trick or treat around the place for goodies, and prizes will be given away for best costumes for the following categories: male, female, and team theme. Roti Rolls will be rolling up to serve tasty treats, and Charles David and Zack Bodtorf will be there to rock your costumes off.

Proceeds from this event will support our initiatives to make the greater Charleston area a more bicycle- and pedestrian-friendly! Invite your friends and start planning your costumes now!

Palmetto Brewing Company is located at 289 Huger Street in downtown Charleston. The event will run from 6 until 8 p.m.
