Mount Pleasant Pier fishing tournament continues Saturday

Think you have what it takes to catch the biggest fish of all? Then consider registering for the Cooper River Challenge at the Mount Pleasant Pier this Saturday, October 6.

The event will run from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Enjoy fantastic fishing at the foot of the Ravenel Bridge on Charleston Harbor! Tournaments end at 4 p.m.; prizes are awarded at 4:15. Prizes are awarded for the largest gamefish catch in each of the following categories: Adult Angler, Lady Angler, Youth Angler (3-12), Senior Angler (60+), and Total Weight of five fish. Advance online registration available; on-site registration is available Oct. 6 beginning at 6 a.m. Tournament held rain or shine. An adult chaperone is required for participants ages 15 and under. Age: 3 & up. Fee: $12/$9 CCR (Charleston County Resident) Discount.
