Stingrays taken down in overtime; Head back to Alaska

Hopes of securing the Kelly Cup at home were shatter when the South Carolina Stingrays were taken down by the Alaska Ace's Colin Hemingway's goal with only 2:38 left in overtime last night, May 30, at the North Charleston Coliseum.

Read more stories on this subject in our topic page.Alaksa's victory brings the Kelly Cup series to 3-2 still in favor of the Stingrays, but moves the play back to Anchorage with the sixth game beginning at 11:15 p.m. on Thursday, June 4.

“That was obviously a very tough one to take,” said Assistant Coach Cail MacLean. “They need to have a short memory and let this one go and just work on finishing this in Alaska.”
