3rd annual Low Country Jazz Festival kicks off this Friday

The 3rd annual Low Country Jazz Festival is set to begin on Friday, September 2nd at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center.

On September 2nd, the North Charleston Performing Arts Center will host legendary singer/songwriter Michael Franks along with the Charlton Singleton Quartet featuring Cyrus Chestnut. On September 3rd, saxophonist Boney James is bringing his tour to the South Carolina coast supported by Jazz Attack featuring British guitarist Peter White, Grammy-nominated saxophonist Gerald Albright and trumpeter Rick Braun. Opening the Saturday night concert is trumpeter Joey Sommervilleout of Atlanta, GA.

All proceeds for the festival will benefit “Closing The Gap In Healthcare Inc”, a 501(3)c organization founded by Dr. Thaddeus John Bell.
