September 20 is the United Nations International Day of Peace and three local bands, Walk gallery, Charleston Peace One Day, and Conscious Alliance are teaming up for a big old celebration.

First, head to Brittle Bank Park between 1 and 6 p.m. for the Peace One Day Festival then make your way to the Music Farm for an evening of music and art.

Local acts Dangermuffin, Fireworks Show and Organ Donor will jam on the Music Farm stage while art from Walk gallery will adorn the walls. There will also be a live feed of musical celebrations taking place all over the world to celebrate the day of peace.

ReadCharlie.com has a piece on the history and development of the Charleston Peace One Day movement. Go check it out.

Tickets to the show are $10 at the door which open at 8 p.m.
