Local stars will come out for the third installment of Urban Picnic when the street eats restaurant transfers their alley way party into a “punk pumpkin patch” on Friday, October 28th, from 5 - 8 p.m. at 293 King Street in an effort to raise funds and awareness for the local nonprofit that helps with childhood cancer research, Chase After A Cure.

Urban Picnic will be asking local celebrities to design a pumpkin that reflects their personality and will be on display during the party. In an effort to save the pumpkins from impending doom, the public can donate money to the pumpkin they like the most. The pumpkin that raises the most money will be saved from being smashed. The other pumpkins won’t be so fortunate as, the 7 year old boy which Chase After A Cure is named, Chase Ringler, makes a special appearance and drops them from the rooftop to the hard pavement below. 100% of the money raised from all the celebrity pumpkins will go to Chase After A Cure.

Guests will also be given the opportunity to make their own versions of punk pumpkins for free. However, bring some moolah for food and drinks. The specials at Urban Picnic include $2 burgers, $1.50 PBR, and $2.50 micro brews.

To get a preview of the celebrities pumpkins, guests can check out the Burger Babies Facebook page or @BurgerBabies on Twitter.
