Updates at the bottom.

The 54th edition of the Coastal Carolina Fair is coming to North Charleston's Exchange Park October 28th through November 6th.

For ten days, all are invited out to enjoy carnival rides and games, musical acts, games and competitions, nightly fireworks displays and much, much more. Featured musical acts this year include performances by Uncle Kracker, The Coasters, The Platters and The Marvelettes, Ricky Skaggs, and Percy Sledge.

If you're not sure what all the fuss is about, check out this video from a couple years back.

Advanced tickets to the fair can be purchased at reduced prices at participating Piggly Wigglys, the Naval Weapons Station and the Charleston Airforce Base until October 27th.

Well the fair is nearly here and the coverage is getting louder.

The Post and Courier has posted a nice preview with a  day-by-day schedule; get it here.

And for all you photographers, don't forget there will be a photo walk on opening day at 5:30 p.m.

Update November 6:

We already mentioned an outstanding photo essay from the fair, and now I'll connect you with a video of the sights and sounds of the fair this year; check it out at the Charleston City Paper.

Oh, and this is your last day to make it out.
