In this Washington DC-themed event, Super Deluxe, Charleston's Premier Party Band and renowned visual artist Scott Parsons collaborate to bring music, art, food and drink from the nation’s capital to Charleston, SC.

"A Taste of DC” will be held on Wednesday, September 5, at the Brick House Kitchen located at 1575 Folly Road on James Island, SC.

Super Deluxe will be playing two sets of live funk music featuring go go, a sub-genre of funk made popular by the legendary Chuck Brown, E.U., Rare Essence and countless other Washington musicians. Scott Parsons will be doing live spray paint art including scenes of the DC skyline.

Included in the ticket price are Maryland blue crab cakes, half-smokes and chili from Ben’s Chili Bowl, a Washington DC institution that local foodies will recognize. The featured beer comes from DC Brau Brewing Company, the only brewery located within the District.

Doors open at 5 p.m. with live music by Super Deluxe from 6 to 9 p.m. The venue will stay open and live painting will continue well past 9 p.m.

Tickets (including food) are $10 in advance and $12 the day of the show. For more information, please visit SuperDeluxeLive.com.
