Daisy Dukes Country Saloon opens Friday

The Beach Wagon may have taken its last ride and Nashville Dreams is nothing more than a dream, but Myrtle Beach won't have to wait much longer for another club catering to the country music crowd.

Starting Friday, Daisy Dukes Country Saloon — and it's owner, longtime local country singer Charlie Floyd — will burst back onto the beach with high hopes of breathing some life back into a scene that has been left without a country music club for nearly a year.

Located at 2701 S. Kings Hwy., Daisy Dukes will take over the spot which was most recently home to failed country club Nashville Dreams, with intentions of a major, modern overhaul and an infusion of world-class musical talent.

The club will host a VIP private opening party this Friday, June 3, before hostinga grand opening for the public June 10.
