The South Carolina Aquarium is hosting a "Holiday Extravaganza" giving free goodies and fun to it's members from From 5 to 7:30 p.m.

In an emailed press release they said: All Aquarium members can enjoy food and wine sampling, delicious desserts, shopping and tons of fun for the whole family at the Aquarium's annual Holiday Extravaganza. Sample treats from some of Charleston's finest eateries including Carolina Catering, Cru Cafe, Dream Dinners, Hyman's Seafood, The Lettered Olive, Sea Island Grill and Lounge, Ted's Butcherblock and Virginia's on King. Enjoy specialty desserts from Chocolate Cake and Edible Arrangements and coffee by Charleston Coffee Roasters. Children of all ages will enjoy holiday cookie decorating, Krispy Kreme Doughnut Dipping Station, a marshmallow making demonstration from Fork & Spoon Catering, pictures with Santa, face painting and holiday crafts. Stock up on all your holiday shopping needs with special sales featuring local vendors.

The event is at the South Carolina Aquarium. You must be a member to participate in the event -- membership plans start at $50 annually.
