Grab your ruby red slippers and head to the South Carolina Aquarium for a family-friendly "Scary'um Aquarium" this October.

At the month-long celebration ghouls and buoys of all ages can enjoy fish, fun and frights inside the Aquarium which will be teeming with Halloween-themed decorations, activities and special interactive displays! Kids dressed in costume will receive $2 off Aquarium admission. Special this Scary'um Aquarium, see The Wizard of Oz 4-D Experiencein the 4-D Immersion Theater.

Here's a rundown of what's happening.

- Spooktacular shows

• Halloween Otter Enrichment: 1 p.m. Saturdays
• Animal Enrichment with Pumpkins: 1 p.m. Sundays
• Night Frights in the Great Hall: 1 p.m., Mondays-Fridays
• Fish or Dare in the Great Ocean Tank: 3 p.m., Daily
• Creepy Crawly Critters in the Great Hall: 4 p.m., Daily

- Journey through the spooky Shipwreck Tunnel;

- Have some family friendly boo's with the Boo Button Tree;

- See if you can spot the Lizardman in Camp Carolina;

- Solve the riddles of the Lost Species Cemetery;

- Learn about your favorite creepy crawlies at the Bug Station;

- Uncover bones in Spookeology;

- Puzzle over pumpkins in Toddler Cove; and

- Learn more about the creatures of the deep through an interactive Ship Wreck

During Scary'um Aquarium a 4-D version of a classic film The Wizard of Oz will show, "The Wizard of Oz 4-D Experience." Tickets to the show are included in a Value Pass (includes General Admission and 4-D Theater Ticket), the cost is $17.95 for children, $24.95 for adults and $23.95 for seniors, toddlers are free. The 4-D Theater only experience is $6.95 for children, adults and seniors, and $2.95 for Aquarium members and member guests (4-D movie length is approximately 15 minutes).

Also during Scary'um Aquarium, Aquarium members can enjoy the sell-out, members-only Fish or Treat event. An annual favorite, Fish or Treat takes place on Friday, October 28,  starting at 5 p.m. The program kicks off with a members-only Toddler Time which features a monster mash dance party, crafts and games designed for children five and under. Starting at 5:30 p.m. older kids can "fish or treating" around the Aquarium picking up candy along the way while enjoying divers of the deep in the Great Ocean Tank, a dance party, ghoulish games and much more! Families are also encouraged to come dressed in their most creative costumes and participate in our costume contest. Reservations are $10 per member.
