Local comedians compete for yuks in 'Game Show Charleston'

A different type of game show will take place at Theatre 99 at 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 29th.

Rather than playing one type of game like Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune, "Game Show Charleston" is a live theatrical show where the contestants/comedians (Dusty Slay, Mark Szlachetka and Jason Groce) compete in a variety of games from trivia to physical challenges with the help of audience volunteers.

Volunteers can submit their name before the show and will be randomly selected to join the contestants on stage and help them play the games. Win or lose, every audience volunteer receives a token to trade in for prizes at the end of the show. The more tokens they get, the greater the selection of prizes the audience member can choose from.

All audience members, whether they volunteer or not, will receive a complimentary gift from the show's sponsor at the end of the show. The show's current sponsor is Coastal Coffee Roasters so everybody will be receiving a free packet of coffee because, "Everybody is a winner at Game Show Charleston!"
