Update April 28: The 2011 season's first Moonlight Mixer went off without a hitch and the dance floor atop of the sea was packed out.

The Post and Courier has a fun post-event update which features interviews from numerous attendees unanimously give the mixers two thumbs up. It even features a sweet little love story of a local couple first began dating at dances on Folly Pier and continue to return for nostalgic reasons until this day.

Hop on over and take a peek.

First reporting: Get shagging on the Folly Beach Fishing Pier this Friday night, April 22nd, from 7 to 11 p.m. at the first Moonlight Mixer of the 2011 season.

Food and beverage will be available at Locklear’s Beach City Grille and Gangplank Gift and Tackle Shop at the entrance of the pier. Make sure to bring your ID if you plan on downing some alcoholic beverages.
