March 11th marks the second sunday of the month which means King Street businesses and restaurants are going to be celebrating in a big way.

From 1 to 5 p.m. King Street will be closed from Queen Street to Calhoun for food, music, shopping and fun

As far as live music goes, Southern Flavor Bluegrass Band will join 2nd Sunday on King Street in March. Members George Del Porto, FB Del Porto, Anthony Del Porto and Jared Fisher will all be on hand. Luke Wilson, Andrew Berger-Gross and Carolyn Upchurch of the Steady Hand String Band will also perform. Look for 2nd Sunday regulars Matt Lohan, Michael Lindsey, Marty Young, Austin Fitzhenry and The Honeybees.

Ken Burger will be on hand at the 2nd Sunday Info Tent at Wentworth to talk Charleston and sign copies of his book, Baptized in Sweet Tea.

Author Millie West will be at Reinert LePrince Fine Art signing her new novel The Cast Net. There will be refreshments from Chucktown Tavern, and Reinert's 2nd Sunday on King Street cards will be available for purchase.

Sign up for the Cooper River Bridge Run, purchase - or win - tickets to the Charleston Symphony Orchestra League's fantastic 2012 Designer Showhouse or do some yoga in the street with Lululemon.
