Update April 24th: The worlds largest flash mob happened all across the country this past Saturday, April 21st.

While it was a bit soggy here in Myrtle Beach judging from the videos we've found there were at least 50 locals who took part in the nationwide experience.  Check out the local videos below, above you'll find TMZ's video of the flash mob in L.A. lead by none other than Carlton himself, Alfonso Ribeiro.

First Report April 16th: On Saturday, April 21, 2012, cities across the U.S. and Canada will host groups participating in the world's largest simultaneous flash mob.  The Myrtle Beach group will be dancing at 3 p.m. at Broadway at the Beach.

If you're interested in participating, check out their Facebook event page.  There is a practice tonight, April 16, 7:30 p.m. at Palmetto Dance Starz, 196 Stonebridge Drive in Myrtle Beach.  The video below is the routine, if you want to have a look at what you're getting yourself into.  It's hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro, aka Carlton from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

The event is a Body by Vi, a weight-loss and fitness company, initiative.  I would expert there to be a considerable amount of company promotion - but hey, unless you organize your own, when will you have another opportunity to be part of a flash mob?!
