CupcakeCamp Charleston, a free event that brings together cupcake lovers, bakers and eaters is announcing its premiere event in the Lowcountry this fall.

CupcakeCamp is scheduled to take place on November 6th from 3 to 5 p.m. at Aloft Charleston.

Here's more from the press release:

An event for cupcake lovers: Why? Because we love cupcakes! Bring and share your cupcakes or just come to eat! You do not have to bring cupcakes to attend. Best of all, it's FREE. Bakers, Volunteers and Eaters are encouraged to attend. A highlight of the event includes an amateur and professional bakers competition for Most Unique Ingredients, Best Charleston Themes and Best Decorated Cupcake.CupcakeCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and eat cupcakes in an open environment. This is about bringing the community together, allowing people to make new friends who share a common interest (in this case, cupcakes) and can be seen as a networking opportunity for those looking for work. And what better place than at one of Charleston's swankiest venues, Aloft Charleston!

CupcakeCamp Charleston is now accepting bakers and volunteers. You'll find registration forms here and if you're interested in a sponsorship opportunity, shoot CupcakeCamp and email.
