Carolina's pits USA vs France in this evening's wine dinner

This evening at 8 p.m., Carolina's Southern Bistro is hosting a Four-Course "USA vs France" Wine Dinner for just $60 per person.

Executive Chef Jill Mathias has masterfully crafted each course, and will pair them with an American wine and a wine from France.

Below is a preview of what's to come:

  • FIRST COURSE: Grouper Belly with apple, parsley and celery leaves paired with Veuve Clicquot, France and J Brut of Sonoma. 
  • SECOND COURSE: Tommy Edwards local head-on-shrimp with baby Bok Choy and Orange Beurre Blanc paired with Olivier Leflaive “Les Sétilles” Bourgogne Blanc, Puligny/Meursault Blend Burgundy '09 and a Rodney Strong “Chalk Hill” Chardonnay an '09 from Sonoma. 
  • THIRD COURSE: Roasted Duck Breast with an Anson Mills Polenta Cake, spinach, Hen-of-the-Woods Mushrooms paired with Latour Nuits St. George, Burgundy '09 and an '09 Erath Pinot Noir from Oregon. 
  • FOURTH COURSE: Crescenza & Petit Fours served with a Pacific Rim Riesling Vin de Glaciere '09 from Washington.
