Fish presents its first-ever Chapuy Champagne dinner

Next Friday, October 14th, Fish will be hosting its first-ever Champagne dinner.

Third generation grower and owner of Chapuy Champagne, Elodie Chapuy, is flying in from France specifically for this event. The dinner includes a delicious four course meal prepared by Chef Nico Romo to perfectly complement the featured wines of the evening.

Elodie Chapuy’s exciting presence at this event is possible thanks in part to Chef Romo’s good luck. On a flight from France to the US, Romo was seated beside Chapuy and the two struck up a conversation. By the end of the flight, Fish was carrying Chapuy Champagne and a Champagne dinner was in the works.

The GM of Fish, Jodie Battles, is especially thrilled to be an organizer of this event. As an aspiring Sommelier, Battles loves learning about all things wine. As a female in an industry that is still very much dominated by males, hosting a champagne dinner with a female grower is especially exciting.

Dinner will cost $55 per person. To make a reservation for this limited seating event, please call Fish Restaurant at (843) 722-3474.

The evening's menu is posted below:

  • 1st Course - Amuse bouche
  • 2nd Course - Local oysters on the half shell, ginger wakame mignonette Octopus carpaccio, yuzu thai basil; Spicy clam chowder; Brut Reserve NV Blanc de Blanc
