Rare Beer Tuesday brings holiday beer cheer

This Tuesday at 5 p.m., get stocked up for the holidays with two rare beers on the Charleston Beer Exchange growler station.

From their blog:

One is a Christmas beer from Belgium called Affligem Noel. "Commercial Description: For the season we offer you our best wishes and especially delicious Ale. Rich and dark like our Dubbel. Sumptuous and smooth like our Tripel. Enjoy." This is the only draft appearance of this beer in SC! We are also tapping a keg of Southern Tier Krampus. Click the link to read the Commercial Description - it's very informative and fascinating! Don't miss out on either of these special Holiday beers!

The first is a Belgian Strong Dark Ale with a 93 from Ratebeer and an A- from BeerAdvocate, very strong ratings. The second is an Imperial Helles Lager with a 94 from Ratebeer and a B+ from BeerAdvocate. This is a very unique style, and it's named after the anti-Santa. Ho Ho Ho.

Charleston Beer Exchange resides at 14 Exchange Street downtown.
