Rare Beer Tuesday wrangles Hoss into the growler station

Charleston Beer Exchange is bringing an offbeat selection from Denver, CO's Great Divide Brewing to the growler station this Tuesday at 5 p.m.

"Hoss" comes from a mix of different styles.  The CBX blog brings us the commercial description

Hoss is based on the Märzen lagers of Germany. Rich, layered malt notes, with some hints of cherry and dark notes, dominate while the unique addition of rye imparts a slightly earthy, spicy character. Hoss finishes crisp and dry, and its brilliant red-orange color is a toast to the late-summer sunsets that make the perfect backdrop for this beer.

At 6.2% ABV, this seasonal earns a B+ from BeerAdvocate, and a 77 from Ratebeer.  Per CBX, our state got no (zero) bottles of this one, so here's your chance at this Bonanza!  See what I did there?

Charleston Beer Exchange can be found at 14 Exchange Street downtown.
