Thank to LowcountryBBQ for digging this one up.

Original post: The Summerville Masonic Lodge is hosting its sixth-annual "Smoke at the Lodge" community fundraiser.

Come Friday night (April 3) and you'll get to watch the judging, listen to music, and taste samples for a dollar. Come Saturday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and you can pick up BBQ fresh from a whole-pig roast that went on all Friday night -- I should add that Friday is "No Pork Night" and teams are preparing anything but pork for judging.

Head over to The Summerville Journal Scene for all the details.

The lodge is at 111 N. Main Street in downtown Summerville.

Oh, and do note that the event coincides with the Flowertown Festival.
