Ted's hosts a beer dinner, with a focus on cooling down

Last minute notice on this one, but Ted's Butcherblock is hosting a "Coldest Beer Dinner of the Year" that I thought worthy of passing along word of. 

Four beers are up for tasting in four course. The dinner is Thursday, August 26, at 7:30 p.m. and is $38. Make reservations at (843) 577-0094. 334 East Bay Street in downtown Charleston.

It’s HOT outside but it’s going to be COLD at Ted’s this month as we host our “Coldest Beer Dinner of the Year!” Cool off with ice cold craft brews and a cool menu prepared by Chef Eva + staff featuring cooling, summer-inspired dishes.

Menu:
Chilled Mussel Salad with Shaved Celery, Smoked Tomato Vinaigrette, Romaine Rib, Garlic Greek Yogurt and Grilled Baguette.
- Paired with Jever Pilsener (B, German Pilsner, 4.9% ABV) -

Second Course
House Made Country Pate with Sweet Pickled Carrot, Ginger, Opal Basil and Coconut Candied Almonds.
- Paired with Coast 32/50 Kolsch (A-, local, Kolsch, 4.8%) -

Third Course
Paprikash Grilled & Chilled Beef Teres Major with Anise and Lentil Tabouli, Cumin Tahini and Preserved Lemon-Kalamata Gremolata.

Peach & Pistachio Cake Gellato, Local Muscadine with Kennerty Farms Honey and Thyme Toille.
