Due to the wildly popular response to cocktails by mixologist and manager Evan Powell, Fish is hosting their first annual Mixology Dinner on Friday, April 8th, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Powell’s cocktails will be paired with dishes created especially for the occasion by Fish Executive Chef Nico Romo and Chef de Cuisine Charron Henry. One of the featured cocktails for the evening is the Black Thai Lemonade, Powell’s winning cocktail from the Charleston Magazine Charleston’s Top Cocktail contest.

This three-course dinner will begin with a welcome reception and passed hors d’oeuvres including Local Clammer Dave’s oysters on the half shell with green mango and ponzu mignonette and fried clam steam bun with ginger aioli. The reception will feature the Rising Sun, made with Aperol, Yuzu Marmalade, Brut sparking, and preserved orange slice. The first course will be pan-seared scallops, sushi risotto, white and green asparagus, fennel salad, and a nicoise olive reduction with the Herbal Remedy Cocktail. The second course will be slow-cooked tarragon chicken oysters, peas, broccolini, confit fingerling potatoes, and truffle tarragon cream served with Powell’s award-winning Black Thai Lemonade. Finally, dessert will be almond sponge cake with white chocolate mousse and hazelnut feuillentine and Wonton Napolean with coconut custard served with Powell’s housemade “Duo of Evancello,” ginger-grapefruit and lemongrass lychee.

Dinner will be served in the upstairs dining area. Cocktail reception to begin at 6:30 with seated dinner beginning at 7 p.m. The cost of the three-course dinner plus cocktail reception is $45.
