Join the Charleston Parks Conservancy and local volunteers to help keep some of the area's most beloved parks looking their best.

In the upcoming weeks, there will be four chances for any and all to help out during a Garden in the Parks event. If you plan to attend, please don't show up empty-handed -- the Charleston Parks Conservancy asks that you bring your own pruners, garden gloves, and a garden bucket.

Below is everything you need to know about the upcoming gardening sessions:

  • May 8th @ Cannon Park - Volunteer time is 9 to 11 a.m.
  • May 10th @ Simonton Park - Meet at Simonton Park on Morris Street downtown. Volunteer time is 9 to 11 a.m.
  • May 15th @ Brittlebank Park - Meet at the Brittlebank Park sign off of Lockwood Boulevard. Volunteer time is 9 to 11 a.m.
  • May 17th @ Marion Square - Meet at the Calhoun St./King St. corner of the park. Volunteer time is 9 to 11 a.m.

Interested? Great! Now, all you have to do is email Paul Wentz or call the Charleston Parks Conservancy at (843) 724-5003 to let them know you are coming.
