As a way to train new farmers and food system leaders, Lowcountry Local First has launched the Growing New Farmers Incubator Project.
In an effort to create a shift toward and educate young farmers, the project will pair participants with mentor farmers for both part-time and full-time apprenticeships. Apprentices will take part in the Lowcountry Grower's Group, have the option to take a sustainable agriculture course and attend the NxLevel Food and Farming Entrepreneurship course.
The application deadline for the spring program is February 1st.
