Planning meeting for Calhoun Street

The city is holding a public meeting over draft suggestions on how the section of Calhoun Street east of East Bay Street should be zoned, developed, and designed. The city also recently unveiled plans for the adjoining Concord Park.

The meeting is Friday, October 31, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at 75 Calhoun Street.

Here's some more details from an e-mailed press release:
The study is a special area plan encompassing the eastern end of Calhoun Street to the waterfront and sections of East Bay, Washington and Concord Streets.

After several months of study and public workshops, the consultants will present their draft findings and recommendations as it relates to economic strategies, urban design, zoning solutions, transportation and parking recommendations. The City will use this Special Area Plan to guide future public and private developments in this important and growing corridor of the City’s downtown.
