Saturday, November 5th North Myrtle Beach will hold it's annual City Wide Home Cleanup Day from 9:00 a.m until noon.

Spearheaded by the Keep North Myrtle Beach Beautiful Committee, "a community based program that educates and empowers the community to improve the environment, enhance the quality of life and community pride through beautification, litter prevention, and recycling." This annual event brings the cleaning to your home as they give you an opportunity to drop off home goods and items you might have cluttering your home.

Items that the city will take off your hand include:

appliances, furniture, paint, pesticides, chemicals, oil, old tires and more.

Residents must drop off the items at the Sanitation Departments transfer location off of 2nd Avenue South, behind the North Myrtle Beach Aquatic and Fitness Center.

So get to cleaning out those attics, garages, spare rooms and hop on over to SCnow.com for their full write-up, including details on donating working appliances and other special collection services.
