Get up to speed on the historic art of dueling in Charleston

Legend is: Charlestonians loved a good duel.
And the Charleston Museum wants to make sure you have some facts to go along with that legend, they're hosting a three-part lecture on the topic.
Hosted by Curator of History Grahame Long, the series will address "a culture where killing as a display of character was almost fashionable, loss of life was not a high price for those who held personal honor and conviction paramount to all other social ideals."
The first lecture is slated for Thursday, January 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the Charleston Museum (360 Meeting Street.)
