On Sunday, April 10, come out the second most fun you can have in bed at the second annual Charleston Bed Race benefitting Camp Happy Days, to be held at 3 p.m on Mary Murray Boulevard just past the horse stables in Hampton Park.

Charleston Magazine calls it “a little bit of bedlam”, but  you decide for yourself.

Make the bed of your dreams, throw some wheels on it, and race on down to the old racetrack for an afternoon of high spirited fun. We have several businesses, restaurants, govt. agencies, colleges and individuals participating, so there will be quite a variety of talent out there.  A grand parade of beds will take place before the judges and spectators, and medals will be given for Best Decorated, Most Outrageously Decorated, the “What Were You Thinking?” Bed, and the always popular People’s Choice Award.

You won’t want to miss the fun, as the five man bed teams, two at a time, race the course in heats until we hand off the first place trophy to a new Bed Race Champion Team, who will reign throughout the city for an entire year.  Libations (aka beer) and food will be served.
