The 30th Annual Jack Monroe Beach Ride comes to Lakewood Campground from November 2nd through the 6th, benefiting the American Heart Association.

This is an equestrian event where riders are encouraged to bring their horses and stay at the Lakewood Campground in Myrtle Beach.  There a chili cook-off, lectures, vendors, rides, a costume contest, parade, entertainment by stuntman Tommie Turvey and High Steppin' Country, and a party.  You can check out the full schedule of events here.

For more information, read the event page.  It's full of information on how to register, how to donate, and what to expect.

Below is a video of scenes from last year's ride.  There is a lengthy span of video of a woman getting on a horse.  Stick with me through it, enjoy the jaunty tune, and you'll see lots of horses and beautiful beach scenery.
