The Myrtle Beach Pelicans are inviting fans to audition for the chance to perform the National Anthem at Pelicans Ballpark prior to a 2012 game! Auditions are the evening of March 9th, from 5:30 to 7:00pm at Pelicans Ballpark.

All individuals and groups from across the Grand Strand are invited to audition. Tryouts are on a first-come-first-served basis. Please be prepared to perform the entire Anthem. You must audition to be considered.

"We always love seeing the talent that is out there when it comes to National Anthem auditions," said Pelicans General Manager Scott Brown. "We are always blown away by the performances we see and it just gets us more excited for the baseball season to arrive."

Auditions are open to all age groups and experience levels. People who have performed in the past are encouraged to audition again.

Pelicans single game tickets, season tickets, flex books and mini-plans for 2012 are on sale now at the team's Pelicans Ballpark offices, or by calling (843) 918-6000. Normal box office hours are Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm. The Pelicans open the 2012 at home against the Wilmington Blue Rocks, Friday, April 6th, at 7:05 pm.
